» Anyone good at remembering old TV shows?

The old ABC Family, back when it was FOX family used to play this show, and I don't remember what it was about exactly but I do know I used to love it. It was about a bunch of teenagers, and the main boy character was blonde, and really attractive and I'm almost positive the show revolved around him and his girlfriend. Anyone have any guesses as to what show I'm talking about?Save by the BellYes I think you're talking about Saved By the Bell. Reruns are on TBS. :)Saved by the bell!! omg i miss that show.Zack was the main chariture and they were in high school Saved By the Bell?saved by the bellif not 'that 70's show' then try this link as it may help u...i almost thought party of 5 but when u say a count...... - 2009-07-04

» Charity shops; will they move into middle-class areas now that credit is harder?

There are plenty of charity shops in shabby areas of our towns. But now that "managerial" staff are losing their jobs, will we see select areas sprouting Oxfam and similar outlets? You can afford to shop in these outlets? Have you seen their prices recently? No joke! It is often cheaper, quicker(definitely!), and more convenient to go to a retailer that you know stocks the item! Went in one recently, in my 'shabby' area! lol, and was charged ÂŁ30 for a CD, 2 books, and a paperweight. Our town has had a shop for over 30 years and we are far from shabby. What are you talking about? There are plenty of charity shops in affluent areas, Kensington High Street has a big Oxfam Shop, as does Earls Court Road along with at least 6 ot...... - 2009-07-04

» Would you?....

Would you hire a 16 year old to do your wedding shots? What if you saw his portfolio and they looked professional? What if he was recommended by a friend? Just wanna see your point of view on this :)Definitely not as the primary photographer. No offense to you or any other 16 year olds. A wedding is just too important. I'd rather have someone with 16 years of experience. On the other hand, I would like to have a 16 year old as a supplementary shooter. Getting candids and other shots that the pro would not get.ditto with what Big Mike said.... i'm only 19 so i won't be married soon or anything, but I still think it would be too important to have anyone less than a professional do it.I was wondering something similar. I'm not 16...... - 2009-07-04

» If KFC stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken, why do they play Sweet Home Alabama on the commercials?

They should just play a banjo...Well, they could try Neil Diamond's "Kentucky Woman," of Elvis' "Kentucky Rain," or even "My Old Kentucky Home." I don't think most people know those songs as well, though.....they grow them in alabama, cook them in kentucky?maby the chickens eloped to alabamaBecause we like fried chicken here in Alabama...Marketing guys always fail geography.Go ask KFC why they play Sweet Home Alabama on their commercials. They're geographically impaired...lolWhy don't they play "Be my funky chicken" by little feat?maybe the colonel didnt know where he lived.well if they changed the name to sweet home Kentucky..i think it might not be as catchybecause theyre sending a secret message >_>because thei...... - 2009-07-04

» xbmc.executebuiltin('xbmc.activatewindow(home)') doesnt work in latest builds?????

I've been using an old Startup video script that plays videos in the background on xbmc. When I updated to the latest SVN build of XBMC, the script still works, but the videos are not played in the background. I tried using the AutoStartManager script but it is having the same problem. I can still make them play in the background by hitting the 'X' key, but I would like to be able to get the videos to automatically start playing in the background. The script I use has this line of code for playing the video in the background: xbmc.executebuiltin('xbmc.activatewindow(home)') Any suggestions on how I can fix this?try replacing home with: 10000 or try: xbmc.executebuiltin("XBMC.ReplaceWindow("10000")") Let me know how you gousing...... - 2009-07-04

» spot metering on 350d

I read somewhere that 350d doesn't have spot metering. and then i read at dpreview that it has something like 9% center point metering... is this... the same what spot metering is?Umm, I have the 350D and could probably help you out, but I never had to figure out what spot metering is. When I look in the menu I can find metering. There are three icons, empty half and full. I can also point it at lights (did this today) and it will give me a numerical reading on the light amount... I dont know how I did this though. (Back to the manual hehe)The 350d doesn't have spot metering. Spot metering is tighter still, (about 3.5% in the case of the 30D). 9% is still good, just make sure the area you're metering is covered by that 9% and you'll be fin...... - 2009-07-04

I would like to do something similar to them but need to know how much programming is required before I buy Vbulletin. » What is the difference between unlocking and jailbreaking and using a turbosim for an iPhone 3G?

Unlocking is making it so that you can make hardware changes, especially changing the wireless card. Primarily used to get out of the grip of AT&T. TurboSIM is a tool to unlock your iPhone. Jailbreaking is making it so you can run applications other than only ones you get from Apple's app store. Despite the way their names sound, unlocking is a much more dangerous operation, and I believe against the agreement you sign with Apple. Jailbreaking is much safer and is not against any terms of the agreement....... - 2009-07-04

» Can peanut butter lower blood sugar?

I have a diabetic freind he said his blood sugar is high at night so he eats a tea spoon of peanut butter at night to lower his sugar level. Is there any fact to this?My dad told me (because he is diabetic and I asked him the same thing, sort of.) "If someone takes too much insulin, then sometimes they need sugar to bring their levels back up. The sugar level was too low."NO. Nothing will remove glucose from the blood stream but insulin. Peanut butter DOES, however, not raise your blood sugar as fast because it is full of protein, which breaks down and releases glucose into the blood stream very slowly, so no sugar spikes happen, but rather a slow, steady rise in blood sugar. Eating peanut butter will not lower blood sugar, as with ...... - 2009-07-04

There's are a few of the cars that I am considering purchasing in the hopes of modification and racing. Which would you suggest and why exactly?I see the "e$" recommends Big 'Ol 'Merican Iron...that's fine for drag racing but with the cars you list I'd guess you're talking road racing. Sorry...that's outta the Camaro's "best use" range. I'd say the Miata for Auto-X or road racing, strictly because it's the only RWD in your list. RWD has far superior track handling, and the Miata is known for it's excellent handling capabilities even amongst the RWD cars You might be able to make the Mitsu and Acura faster in a straight line, but neither can corner like a Miata.if u want cheap s...... - 2009-07-04

they are asking me about religion!Hmm ... how young? And why do questions about religion become questions about evolution? If a conversation about religion turns to a conversation about evolution (or vice versa) ... that's a bad sign. That is a sign that the two have already been presented *in conflict* to the child ... and the child is trying to sort it out. I find this incredibly sad ... but it happens. Even before kindergarten the child is being groomed to be *suspicious* of science class, of scientists, and of science in general. The child is being taught that there are things taught in science that "we just do not believe." And this is terrible. So *IF* a child is getting this kind of indoctrination at home, it is fa...... - 2009-07-04

WB for urgent food aid to desperate people: Social unrest may lead to war BFF, Washington The World Bank meets here Sunday as rising food prices spark deadly unrest in developing countries, underscoring the urgency of getting food aid to desperate people. Policymakers of the anti-poverty bank are due to discuss a massive, coordinated international plan to reduce hunger announced less than two weeks ago by the head of the bank, Robert Zoellick. With soaring food prices threatening political stability in poor countries, Zoellick called for a "new deal" for global food policy, similar in scope to a 1930s programme under US president Franklin D. Use Ebay, much easier and much less work. If you have your own site, you will have to do all the PR stuff yourself, while Ebay is very well known.ebay's a good place to start to learn the ins and outs of online selling, and the pitfalls that can come with it. » Lenses last a lifetime do they! Hmmm

This one, Nikkor 55-200 VR, has lasted just over 3 months. I'll explain:- Yesterday evening I was by the river with the camera and probably zoomed out a little too fast. The lens hit the endstop, there was a crunch-ping sound, well more of a feeling really, and everything went a lot darker. The lens still takes pictures, but the're grossly underexposed, the metering no longer seems to work, and it won't autofocus now it just hunts. Looking through the lens it seems that the aperture blades are stuck shut. I really don't want to send it in because I feel that it was my fault and that I'll get the stock response of customer damaged, and an inspection bill for half the cost of the lens. I am looking to make my own filter and was wondering if someone had some tips or tricks or a list of supplies that you can use to make your own filter. I have a couple ideas that I want to try out. The most interesting one that I want to try is cutting a glass coke bottle to fit in the filter ring, having the neck of the bottle come out the front of the camera, so the focusing sensor only will focus on the middle. I think, not really sure, that the glass will warp the image and give it a cool effect. i love him, but ppl lip him all the time. I'm just sick of my fellow Leafs fans acting like he's the second coming who will deliver us back to the land of Lord Stanley. If you remove that one miracle year with the Ducks, he's done nothing to show he's anything more than a mediocre general manager. I almost think we would have been better off taking that interim tag off of Fletcher. Cliff would be much cheaper, and the only thing Burke really has that Fletcher doesn't is a Cup from a fluke year. EDIT: Chuck T: He was at Vancouver from '98 to '04. Prediction: 2-1 Lineup: Kiely Young - Perry - Fortune - HH Stuart - Euell - Holland - Thomas DiCanio - Bartlett I don't think Thomas will get the start. He will most likely come on as a sub. I also don't think Fortune will get the start -- probably Fish. I just hope Konchesky doesn't get in since he cost us the last two matches. It is good to hear Euell will be back in. The ball goes through him now. He fills the void in the middle behind the strikers. Jason needs to stay healthy the rest of the way. Yes, we miss Parker, but Euell took some of the charge until his foot injury. We really dropped off after he was stretchered off.I agree with the score line. 2-1 addicks. What a match! I'm only asking, as mine are more rotten than my 7" collection of Punk music on vinyl dating back from the late 70's, though I blame it all on fags, milk and alcohol, as prescribed by a certain Doctor Feelgood. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SYMrAlcXcB... My problem is, though I have many... The missus just asked me to get my pliers out. Whilst I am used to being plied with the odd stiff one, she wanted me to pull out one of her wonkies. Admittedly, her teeth are better than mine, but I question her sanity. She didn't take into consideration just how many rusty nuts my pliers have been around, or the fact that I'm defrosting a large piece of meat to nibble on tomorrow. Am I mad, or just easily confused ? ...... - 2009-07-04

Right, here's achance for you all to feed into the activities of the club. You may have noticed there is mention of a first official fans' forum on the LFC website. » Losing all emotion? ?

why am i losing emotion? when i hang out with my friends im never happy any more(which is odd) or death in family or at funerals i feel nothing not even sadness as i get older the worse it gets, how do i get over this? This one can be tricky sometimes. When I was younger I used to have a lot of emotion, but after going through so many different things in my life I stopped showing it. I don't cry, I'm the same with deaths it doesn't even phase me anymore and honestly as time goes on I'm the same way I just don't feel anymore I guess. Obviously I don't know your history or anything so its hard to say why you are like this all I can tell you is what I've experienced and why I am like that. But I...... - 2009-07-04

» 5/9/06 REPORTS: OK / TX

Observed a tornado-warned supercell near Lehigh, OK from birth. I lft Dallas around 3pm headed north to the Ardmore area. Mickey Ptak called and alerted me of the advancing dryline, which I had figured out myself from the cloudless skies and southwest winds. I went east in Gainseville on US82 to Sherman, then north across the river to Durant, OK. From there I moved north on OK48, with the intention of meeting Mickey and Chad near Ada, which was right along the boundary. After twenty or so miles, storms began to fire. I decided to take the cell nearest me. Because there weren't many road options and the storm was just beginning, I decided to drive east on OK7 to get ahead of it to an area withmore raod options as it developed. I drove to Ato...... - 2009-07-04

» IMDB automation?

hi, first off i'm new but i have been using xbmc for about a year now and i am still anthousiastic about it. i recommend it to all my friends. neway, since i have a lot of movies i would like to know if there is a way to automatically look up imdb information. and no, not scan the whole directory and pray that imdb will match it properly. i want certainty. i think i read somewhere that there was a possibility to let xbmc know what movie a filename is by adding some other file. something like filenamefrommovie.imdbnumber.nfo ... or something like this. i could be wrong. and if it's not in there allready (i can't imagine that though) i would love!!! to see it in there. seems like the most usefull feature ever :p also, when ther...... - 2009-07-04

» Tanya

I'm really unsure about this one. http://people.lulu.com/storage/users/445/102445/images/33182/medium.jpg what do you think? Any imput is appreciated :DPhotogal, Has a lot of potential for me...the grain is not my preference, but I can appreciate it. The hand really bugs me though. It doesn't seem at all natural. I read once that when using hands in portraiture that they should bear weight as they would in real life. I think this would help a lot here imho. Even as I write this I keep going back to it, and the more I view it, the more the shot grows on me so, those were my first impressions.I looks like a painting.Well PG, the lighting you used here has a name. It is called 'ghoul' lighting and was (is?) used extensively ...... - 2009-07-04

» How did they find out.?

in the myspace suicide trial.. how did they find out the reason why the lil girl died.? how'd they know the guy was a hoax.. and who was the real person using the account?I think one of the persons that was in on the hoax felt guilty and told the police. Oh don't you worry about that none. I think it speaks more to the idea that you can't harass people or spread rumors without it coming back to you some kind of way. I mean seriously, what goes through you peoples minds? All messages left can be traced to an individual computer....... - 2009-07-04

» POLL: Hi :) i`m thinking of writing a book and i was wondering what kind of stories you like?

what kind of story do you like reading and do you have any suggestionAny writer will tell you that you shouldn't write what people like, you should write what you are interested in and the audience will find you. It's a waste of time to poll folks - if they all say mystery and you don't like mysteries then you're screwed. I didn't see any answers when I responded but I'll guarantee there's an assortment. What are you interested in, what do you know about, what are you interested enough in to spend hours of research, time and effort in creating a story? Find out what you like or what you're good at writing about.ever read pillars of the earth or world without end? i like those stories. set in the ...... - 2009-07-04

» What benefits can we get in the Summary Execution?

pls. answer also these ff. questions... 1.does it help in our country? 2.how does the people kill? 3.how can you help stop summary execution? 4.is there justice in the summary execution? 5.is it a barbaric way of killing? 6.what are the difference between summary execution and death penalty? 7.is it necessary? 8.is it a law or not? (in your opinion) its okey if you mess some questions... ty! 1.does it help in our country? -No idea, never really had it. Maybe in times of war, but that would be him shooting at you, you shooting at him, or a VERY serious breach of human ethics like mass rape or random shooting of civilians. 2.how does the people kill? -Usually, from what I hear, small caliber bullet to the head. 3.how can yo...... - 2009-07-04

» Can I get an agent with only one spec script?

I just finished a spec script for My Name Is Earl. I plan on writing another one but I'm having problems finding another show I like at the moment. Will an agent consider me if I only have one spec?If the agent thinks he can make money off your work, then the answer is yes, but usually you have to be tested and tried first before they will go out on a limb for you, unless you put up your own seed money, but even then, you might get a fly-by-night or shady agent in such a circumstance. Keep trying and try to get noticed or even published through another source, such as a drama club or college department....... - 2009-07-04

» In your opinion, how should President-Elect Barack Obama get the U.S. back on track?

Since we know that Bush is leaving the White House soon, the U.S. is already back on track. Additionally, along with everything he's already stated, he should find a way to incorporate drug testing to everyone receiving government assistance. He should come clean and provide the documentation of where he was born. Put an end to this stonewalling and either admit that he is not qualified to be President, or place confidence in the American people that he has not spit on our Constitution. Then, he can roll up his sleeves and work with Congress to create an environment that will create jobs in the private sector. Move back to Indonesia.Apologise in deep humility for their treatment of many countries all over the world.Kick all the Evang...... - 2009-07-04
