Luck seem to have all the way then why still astrology is way behind other sciences?

luck is an unresolved issue in face of science .you have to look beyond science else forget all about luck and get down to business Astrology, in modern world, is considered as a medium to make money. A majority of the astrologers are fake and they fool you. When their predictions do not come true, then people regard astrology as superstition. But people forget the thing that astrology was our first step towards studying the stars and it is also a form of science done with calculations. In moden day, you could hardly find a person practicing astrology genuinely and not just fooling around. Thats the main reason why astrology is way behind other sciences.
  • The main reason is that astrology is not a science. For it to be, it's "results" would have to be verifiable by experiment, which they are not. It is a belief system, more akin to religion than science, as a basically primitive attempt originally to explain the world about us. Regarding "luck", I am reminded of the golfer, Jack Nicklaus. After a particular shot, a bystander remarked "That was a lucky shot, Mr Nicklaus", to which the great man replied "Yes, and the more I practice, the luckier I get". Do you see the inference? There is no such thing as luck, only what you make of opportunities.
  • Astrology and luck are not as interchangeable as you may think. There is, in fact, a great deal of science and mathematics that account into probability. There are also some rudimentary studies that show that more observant people generally have better luck. (I.E. if you see thunder clouds and notice them, you are less likely to be outside under a sheet of scrap metal when the lightning strikes, or a person more likely to notice a five dollar bill on the ground, is more likely to be "lucky" enough to "find" it, even though a half dozen people walked by it before them.)

    Short term probabilities are a different story. Let's say, every time I flip a coin that lands heads up, I give you 10,000 dollars. Every time it lands tails up, you give me 10,000 dollars. Now, we know, from probability, that if that coin is flipped an infinite number of times, we will both break even. But one flip has no bearing on the next one, so there may be a span of 10 flips where it shows tails 8 times. So, you're down 60,000 dollars, and feel very unlucky.
